Sr. High Camp dates: July 25-31

Jr & Sr High Camp Information

Camp begins: You may arrive anytime from 3:00 to 5:00 on Sunday afternoon to register.

Camp ends: Your parents are invited to join us for the 9:15 closing session on Saturday morning. Camp is officially over at 10:00 am.

Bring to check-in: any remaining balance for the week, your completed health form, all medications, your completed paintball waiver (if you wish to participate) and any cash to deposit into your spending money account. If you bring a cell phone, please have it available at registration for check-in (see cell phone policy below).

Other things to bring: sleeping bag, pillow, towel, wash cloth, Bible, notebook, pencil, flashlight and casual clothes including modest swimsuit, long pants, a jacket or sweatshirt and extra shoes (see dress guidelines below).

Optional things to bring: camera, mosquito repellant, sunscreen and money for the camp store (cash only, please).

Please don’t bring: a portable music player, video games, pets, alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons or fireworks.

Cell phone policy: Please check your cell phone in at registration. If you need to use it, you may come with your counselor to the office. Don't forget to pick it up at check-out!

Camp Store: Campers may deposit any spending money (cash only, please) into a camp store account. Any money not spent during the week will be returned at check-out. The Camp Store will also be open during registration and sign-out for any parents who wish to visit.

Campers are expected to: attend all meals, meetings, and activities unless excused by the camp nurse or program director, wear shoes at all times, dress & behave modestly, respect those in authority, be in their cabins by curfew, adhere to water safety rules, not display romantic affection (holding hands, kissing, etc), and not use offensive language.

Dress guidelines: Girls: No two-piece swimsuits of any kind. (Campers may wear a tankini covered with a dark-colored t-shirt.) No bare midriffs, no spaghetti-strap tank tops or dresses. No strapless anything. Be mindful of shorts that are too short. Boys: No Speedo-type swimsuits. No underwear above the waistline.

Room assignments & roommates: We assign campers to cabins by age and by roommate request. You may request a roommate on your registration form. We only honor roommate requests if we know about them and do our very best to accommodate them. Contact us if you would like to add or change a roommate request. A camper without a roommate request will room with other campers his or her age who also don’t have a roommate request. About half of the campers who attend BLBC come without a roommate.

Phone calls to or from the camper are allowed only in an emergency.

Avoid visiting a child during camp to ensure a consistent camp experience for all campers. If you do visit, you must register with the camp office upon arrival.

Emergency phone #: call 360-357-8425; the voice mail provides an after-hours emergency number.

Send camper mail to:

Camper Name – Church or Counselor Name

Camp Name (e.g. Jr High Camp 1)

            Black Lake Bible Camp

            6521 Fairview Rd SW

Transfer Fee: You may transfer money from one camp to another camp for a $5.00 bookkeeping fee for each transaction. There is no fee to transfer money from one camper to another camper in the same camp session.

Cancellation policy: Deposits (the first $50 for overnight camps, $30 for day camp) are non-refundable, unless you cancel at least one month before the camp begins. Any payments over and above the deposit will be returned if you cancel at least 48 hours before the camp begins. We will return the full payment (including deposit) when cancellation is for medical reasons or a family emergency. No refund will be given for: a dismissal due to disciplinary action, homesickness, late arrival, early departure (except for sickness or family emergency) or for campers who do not attend and do not notify the camp of the cancellation. To cancel or change your registration, contact the main office by phone, email or in person.

BLBC reserves the right to send any camper home if they fail to comply with the camp rules and/or its policies.
