Day Five

Saturday, June 14, 2003

Lunch was a feast, the food never stops coming, until you leave the table. Eating is one thing we haven’t had to worry about.…….

Cindy being helped on hand motions on a worship song. Julius joining the worship fun.…..

Evening service began at 7pm.  Morning worship is not the norm for Brazilians.  We had a wonderful time of worship & song.  Bonney Lake team sang “Be Bold, Be Strong”.  Annette, Julius and Dean gave testimony.  Dale presented team shirts to the area Pastors.

Pastor Steve Ripp gave the message. You can see above the results of his call to be more Holy for God.  Many people came forward to pray, along with Thiago, whom Dean had been working with, his sister, Rebekah (he-bek-ah) is on the right of Dean.

Comment on the service

Misty said “It was incredible.”.

Dawn said “I felt very welcomed, very friendly people & the worship was lively”.

Dale, “This is what it’s going to be in heaven, multi-language, different cultures praising the Lord”.

Bret, “Our wealth makes us poor spiritually.  Because of our wealth,  we think that we can get by without God, where some of the Brazilian people know what it is to need and the response or desire of God is greater”.
