Day Four
Friday, June 13, 2003

Saturday, Day 4 June 14, 2003. We had a day of leisure. First stop was the open market. This would be like an experience at Pike Place Market in Seattle. Then we had lunch family style, where they continually bring food when the plate is empty (pictured above, Bret, Alfredo, Rute, Mike Pastor & Jae). We then stopped at the Canela Falls in Canela, Rio de Sul. (pictured below). 927 steps to the bottom of the falls. Of course, you must come back up those 927 steps. Some said the hike was worth it, but wouldn’t do it again.

Jessica: “I survived the falls”. 927 steps, exhausted, but did it.
Julius: “all is well”, do you miss Betty, Dale asked, “I miss her greatly!”
Jae: “Hi my name is Jae and I live in a bubble, and God is good in my bubble”. Jae talks this silly when she is pleased with her surroundings and having a good time. She also has been a hard worker.
